Mountaintop labyrinth

Pete and I took a winding drive through the mountains near Topanga on Sunday to finally take a hike we passed on a few months ago: a simple but steep trek to a mountaintop labyrinth with impressive views of the ocean and the LA area.

The large branch hanging over the second-to-last picture belongs to a lovely, very climbable oak tree near the labyrinth. Unfortunately, someone had already claimed the tree when we were there, so we had to content ourselves with watching the sunset from a bench underneath the tree.
