Thurs, Jan 8 [sic], 1941

Dear Diary, 

Our rings are here! 

Well it’s been a good day. I “rested well and woke refreshed,” and went to school. (Really) Mrs. Bird was subing for Howe. Seemed good too. Then this aft. our rings came and one by one we went to the office 8th period and got them. They’re so pretty. Then tonight I took a bath. Just soaked! I wrote a letter to Ruth N. too. Aside from that the day’s been uneventful. I still can’t decide whether to go Sat. or not to the party. I think I will.
